FAITH, HOPE & CHARITY

At the heart of every Inner Wheel member there are three virtues – Faith, Hope and Charity and never more have we seen these three strengths show their worth, as over the last few months.

We have connected during this pandemic, in ways that we would never have imagined, by supporting our communities in every corner of the world. We have shown that Inner Wheel is there to help one and all – whether it be alleviating hunger or providing essentials – we continue to prove that the Impossible is Possible. We have demonstrated to the World how important Inner Wheel is now and has been for almost 100 years.

With these virtues, “together we can” be stronger. We have Faith in ourselves and our fellow members in what we are achieving. We have hope – for today, for tomorrow and for the future. Built on these two foundation stones we have developed the gift of Charity.

By not losing Faith and continuing to have Hope, we have learnt a new way to overcome obstacles and for many a new way of life. Many of our members have stepped that extra step in this crisis, either on the front line or behind the scenes to keep the wheels turning.

Winston Churchill once said “never let a good crisis go to waste”.

Even with lockdown and social distancing, we have proven that action not words is the best way to tackle this present day crisis.

One day this crisis will be over and no matter what happens in life, whatever we do, how much we win or lose – nobody will be able to take away our faith, hope and gift of charity. Let’s continue believing in ourselves with the knowledge we have gained and not let all these new skills we have developed go to waste.

Every day we have a sunrise and a day full of new opportunities, followed by a sunset promising a brighter tomorrow. By keeping faith and keeping hope we will overcome this crisis and we will be there for that wonderful sunset and a brighter tomorrow.

You are in my thoughts and prayers and I send you all my best wishes,

In friendship and love, Phyllis
